Collection: Heritage Audio

Classic-style analog gear built for vintage-grade studio tone.

About Heritage Audio

Heritage Audio builds analog recording gear in Spain with a singular focus: recreating the sound and circuit topology of classic British console modules from the 1970s. Founded by former Neve engineers, the company reverse-engineered legendary designs and adapted them for modern studio use. Their preamps, EQs, and compressors use discrete Class-A circuitry, custom transformers, and hand-wired construction. The result is gear that sounds like vintage Neve without the maintenance headaches or six-figure price tags. Their 73-series preamps and 1073-style EQs have become studio standards for tracking vocals, drums, and anything that needs weight and harmonic richness.

Preamps

Heritage Audio's preamp lineup centers on Neve-style circuits with modern reliability. The 73 Jr. and 73 Jr. II deliver classic 1073 tone in a single-channel format: thick low-end, forward midrange, and smooth top-end that sits in a mix without EQ. The Successor is their take on the 2254 compressor paired with a 1073-style preamp, giving you tracking compression and color in one box. These preamps use Carnhill transformers and discrete op-amps. They're built for engineers who want analog saturation on the way in, not as an afterthought in the mix.

Compressors

Heritage Audio's compressor designs pull from British broadcast and mastering history. The Baby Ram is a single-channel VCA compressor based on the Neve 2254, known for fast attack times and punch on drums and bass. The Successor combines that same compressor circuit with a 1073 preamp for all-in-one tracking. These units handle peak limiting and gentle ratio compression equally well. They're not transparent. They add color, especially when you push the input gain. That's the point.

Monitor Controllers and DI Boxes

Heritage Audio's monitor controllers and DI boxes apply the same build philosophy as their preamps: transformer-balanced signal paths and no-compromise components. Their monitor controllers offer multiple source switching, talkback, and dim functions without adding noise or coloration to your monitoring chain. The DI boxes use custom transformers for clean impedance matching on bass, keyboards, and line-level sources. These are utility pieces that don't compromise signal integrity. You won't hear them working, which is exactly what you want from a DI or monitor controller.
