Description
The Heritage Audio HA-73EQ Elite is a 1U 73-style mic preamp and equalizer with Carnhill transformers and Vinkor pot-core inductors in the mid band. It pairs 80 dB of Class A preamp gain with the three-band 73 EQ, a JFET DI, and a discrete high-pass filter in an Elite Series chassis with an external power supply.
Equalizer
High and low Baxandall shelves plus the dual-inductor mid band follow the classic 73 curves. Heritage Audio keeps the correct Vinkor cores rather than substituting ferrite, so boosts stay musical and the high end does not go phasey at extreme settings.
