Description
The Heritage Audio Symph EQ is a 1U stereo asymptotic shelving equalizer with Mid/Side, Carnhill transformers, and Class A 73 output amplifiers. High and low shelves reach ±10.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps, with 12 dB/octave high-pass and low-pass filters on dual concentric switches. Parallel EQ topology keeps phase shift low.
Mid/Side
Center and sides process independently, so you can add air on the sides without thinning a centered vocal, or tighten side bass without weakening kick and bass. In M/S the side high-pass becomes an elliptical filter, as on vintage disk cutters. Stereo and M/S I/O are balanced on gold-plated XLRs, with per-channel hard bypass.
