Description
The Heritage Audio Herchild 670N (Next Gen) is a 5U stereo Vari-Mu tube compressor built around four NOS 6BA6 tubes and six custom transformers. It keeps the Fairchild-style sound of the flagship Herchild 670 while adding independent bypass, sidechain filtering, output make-up gain, and Mid/Side (LAT/VERT) operation at a lower cost.
Modern Vari-Mu Controls
Six Attack and Release times are voiced for current production, not only vintage program. The progressive DC Threshold combines ratio and knee, from hard limiting to light, transparent compression. Dual-mono or stereo linking, independent per-channel bypass, and a transformer-coupled HA-880 make-up stage let you park it on a mix bus or on two separate sources.
