Description
The Heritage Audio LANG Silverr 47 is a two-channel all-tube microphone preamp recreating the 1960s console topology used as mic amp, line amp, and guitar DI on British Invasion records. Each channel uses a NOS 6AU6 pentode on the input, a JJ E88CC on the output, and custom LANG transformers designed by Heritage Audio.
Gain and Distortion
Stepped gain in 6 dB increments reaches +52 dB, with a variable output control. A No Feedback gain position raises harmonic distortion on purpose, turning the unit into a color box as well as a preamp. Front-panel 1/4" TS DIs sit beside the balanced XLR mic inputs.
