Description
The Heritage Audio Súper 8 is a 2U eight-channel 73-style mic/line preamp with a 24-bit / 192 kHz ADC on ADAT, AES/EBU, and S/PDIF. All eight channels are three-stage Class A with Carnhill transformers. Channels 1-2 add JFET DIs and sweepable low-cut; every channel has phantom, line, 82 Hz low-cut, and polarity.
Conversion
Per channel you can feed the converter from the preamp output or from an alternate analog return (DB25), so EQ or compression can sit between preamp and ADC. Word clock BNC in/out lets the unit run as master or slave. ADAT uses two TOSLINK ports with S/MUX at high sample rates.
