About EAW

Eastern Acoustic Works has built professional loudspeakers in Whitinsville, Massachusetts since 1978. The company is part of RCF Group and designs its enclosures, horns and the Focusing and DynO processing in-house. The catalogue splits into portable powered speakers for rental and live use and passive installation speakers for houses of worship, theatres, clubs and hospitality rooms. In Canada EAW comes through SFM, so stock listed here ships from their Montreal warehouse within a couple of business days.

Portable Powered Speakers: RS, LA and RSX

The RS series is the current portable line. The RS121 and RS123 are 12in 1500W two-way tops and the RS151 and RS153 the 15in versions. The RS115 and RS118 are the matching 15in and 18in 1500W powered subwoofers, with Normal and Punch tunings and a pole cup for the tops. The LA series puts the same 1500W amplification and EAW Focusing and DynO processing in a polypropylene cabinet at a lower price: the LA121 and LA123 are 12in and the LA151 and LA153 are 15in. The RSX218 is the dual 18in powered subwoofer with Dante networking for the RSX line array components.

Installation Speakers: MK, MKC and MKD

The MK2300i (12in) and MK5300i (15in) two-way boxes come in five horn patterns, 120 x 60, 60 x 45, 60 x 60, 90 x 45, 90 x 60 and 90 x 90 degrees, so you can pick coverage to the room instead of aiming a single pattern. The MK8126i and MK8196Z are the 8in versions, and the MT models add a 70V/100V multi-tap transformer for distributed systems. Every MK model is stocked in black and white, and the WP versions carry an IP56 rating for outdoor and poolside work. The MKC series is the coaxial line: the MKC50 (5.25in), MKC60 (6.5in), MKC80 (8in) and MKC120 (12in) are compact enough for surface mounting and voiced like a studio monitor, with weatherproof and multi-tap versions of each. The MKD series doubles the woofer count. The MKD526 pairs two 5.25in drivers, the MKD800 and MKD1000 two 8in or 10in drivers in a two-way box, and the MKD1200 and MKD1500 two 12in or 15in drivers in a three-way box for larger rooms and long throws. U-brackets and yoke mounts for the MKD500 series are listed alongside the speakers.

Subwoofers: SB Series

The SB installation subwoofers run from the 12in SB120ZP and 15in SB150ZP through the 18in SB180ZP, the dual 10in SB210, dual 15in SB250ZP and dual 18in SB528ZP and SB528ZR. The P models are the higher-power versions: the SB825P (dual 15in, 3000W) and SB828P (dual 18in, 4000W). The SB818 and SB828 are flyable passive subwoofers with M10 points built to hang with the KF line arrays. White and IP56 weatherproof versions are available across most of the range.
