The Pioneer DJ PLX-500 is a direct-drive turntable that inherits the control layout and audio routing of the professional PLX-1000 at an accessible price. A high-torque motor (1.6 kgf/cm starting torque) reaches 33 1/3 rpm in under one second, a phono/line switch lets you connect directly to powered speakers without an external preamp, and a USB-B output records vinyl to PC or Mac through rekordbox.

Audio Quality

The signal path from stylus to output is as short as possible, borrowing the PLX-1000's routing philosophy to minimize distortion. The phono/line output switch means no external phono preamp is needed for powered speakers or a line-level mixer input.

DVS Compatible

Pair the PLX-500 with a DVS-capable mixer, the RB-VS1-K Control Vinyl, and rekordbox to play and scratch digital files from a turntable setup. The S-shaped universal tonearm accepts standard headshells and cartridges.
