Description
The Pioneer DJ DJM-S5 is a 2-channel scratch mixer for Serato DJ Pro (bundled) and the first Pioneer DJ mixer powered entirely over USB, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. It features the MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader with Feeling Adjust, two DJM-S11-style effects levers controlling 57 Serato effects, and a new Scratch Cutter effect that emulates scratch technique in sync with the opposite deck.
Scratch Performance
The MAGVEL FADER PRO delivers silky-smooth crossfades and sharp cuts. Feeling Adjust lets you dial in custom weight and resistance, and shock-absorbing bumpers prevent rebounds when slamming the fader. Crossfader Hot Cue creates scratch-like sounds with a sample or track without physically moving the platter.
Scratch Cutter & Effects
Scratch Cutter applies a cutting effect synced in time to the music on the opposite deck. Six scratch patterns are available. Engage one, turn on the effects lever, move your control vinyl or jog wheel, and the mixer cuts in rhythm. Two large effects levers (identical to the DJM-S11) have hold and lock positions and control 57 Serato DJ Pro effects.
Performance Pads
Four multicolored pads per channel (8 total) with 13 pad modes including Hot Cue, Roll, Saved Loop, Sampler, Scratch Bank, and more. Quick access to samples during live performances without menu diving.
USB Bus Power & Standalone Use
Powered entirely via the USB connection for a true plug-and-play experience. Also functions as a standalone analog mixer, accepting line and phono inputs from turntables, CDJs, or other sources without a computer connected.
