Warm Audio MOD Series: Black Keys Peach Fuzz, WA-C1 Mod & Centavo Mod (2026)
Warm Audio is shrinking three of its most loved pedals. The new MOD Series takes the circuits behind the Foxy Tone Box, the WA-C1 and the Centavo and rebuilds them in compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosures with top-mounted jacks. The lineup lands with the limited-edition Black Keys Peach Fuzz, the WA-C1 Mod chorus and vibrato, and the Centavo Mod overdrive.
All three go on sale in Canada on September 30, 2026. The Peach Fuzz and WA-C1 Mod list at $299 CAD MAP, the Centavo Mod at $289 CAD MAP.
The Black Keys Peach Fuzz
The Peach Fuzz is the headline act: a limited-edition collaboration tuned with Dan Auerbach around the fuzz sound running through The Black Keys' 2026 record, Peaches. The circuit starts where Warm Audio's Foxy Tone Box left off, a '70s octave fuzz packed with NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors, germanium 1N34A diodes, carbon resistors and film capacitors.
The band's request shaped its best trick. The octave-up switch works as a latch or as a momentary hold, so you can kick a solo up an octave for a phrase and drop straight back. A Mellow/Brite control moves the fuzz between subdued crunch and searing sludge. And yes, the enclosure is finished in shag peach velvet. It looks exactly as loud as it sounds, and once this run is gone, it's gone.
WA-C1 Mod
The WA-C1 Mod compacts the most celebrated all-analog stereo chorus and vibrato circuit into a housing that actually fits a modern board. The lush Bucket Brigade chorus and the rotary-flavoured vibrato are unchanged, still driven by a premium MN3007 BBD recreation.
The mods matter for players with complex rigs. The famous always-on analog preamp is now bypassable through a Vintage/Modern switch, so meticulous gain-staging survives. Chorus depth and rate get separate knobs where the vintage unit had a single fixed-depth intensity control. A rear Hi-Z switch flips input impedance between the vintage 50k setting and 1.1M for passive guitars, active even in bypass.
Centavo Mod
The Centavo Mod answers the one complaint about Warm Audio's Klon Centaur recreation: the original horseshoe enclosure is huge. The Mod keeps the exact circuit and components of the full-size Centavo, TL072 op amps, vintage-style diodes and charge-pump regulator included, and casts it into a small golden housing with properly tapered Oxblood knobs.
Controls stay faithful: gain, treble, output, plus the rear MOD switch that extends low-end response for a throatier voice on the bottom strings. Clean boost, transparent edge-of-breakup or hard clipping into a dirty amp, it covers the same ground as the mythical original at a fraction of the pedalboard space.
Prefer the full-size originals?
The MOD Series joins, not replaces, the classics. The full-size Centavo, the WA-C1 and the Foxy Tone Box that started the Peach Fuzz story are all available now.
