Warm Audio Centavo Overdrive Pedal

The Warm Audio Centavo is a faithful recreation of one of the most sought-after transparent overdrive circuits in guitar history. With a custom-cast golden enclosure and vintage-tapered oxblood knobs, the Centavo handles everything from clean boost to edge-of-breakup overdrive.

The circuit uses TL072 op-amps, vintage-style diodes, and a charge-pump voltage regulator to match the original design. The Gain control features a late-breaking taper that provides a long range of clean boost before reaching overdrive, making the Centavo equally effective as a tone sweetener in front of a clean amp or as a saturated drive for rhythm work. The Treble knob operates as an active high-pass filter centered at 400 Hz, boosting or cutting to shape the upper-frequency balance. A rear-mounted MOD switch changes the value of the internal high-pass filter, extending the low-end frequency response on the lower strings for added bass-register drive. The Centavo uses buffered bypass to maintain signal integrity when the pedal is off.
