The Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box is a recreation of a beloved 1970s octave fuzz pedal, built with NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors and a true-to-original analog circuit. Covered in thick orange velvet like the vintage original, the Foxy Tone Box delivers everything from mellow, warm distortion to searing, compressed fuzz with an octave-up effect.

Each unit is hand-assembled using premium components sourced to match the original design. The NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors are paired with germanium 1N34A diodes, high-watt carbon resistors, and film capacitors on a gold-plated PCB. The Sustain control adjusts from choppy, bit-crushed textures at lower settings to liquid, singing sustain when maxed. The Fuzz knob sweeps from mellow (dark, bass-heavy) to brite (cutting, treble-forward), making it easy to adapt between single-coil and humbucker pickups. Engaging the Octave Sustain footswitch adds a pronounced upper-octave harmonic that tracks best above the 12th fret for searing lead tones. The circuit draws only 1.5 mA, so a single 9V battery lasts for extended sessions.
