Description
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1 is a 2-deck battle-style DJ controller designed for Serato DJ Lite (included free) with a 14-day trial of Serato DJ Pro. Larger-than-standard jog wheels and a compact scratch-focused layout make it a strong entry point for open-format DJs and aspiring turntablists, with the Tracking Scratch feature snapping playback back to cue points when the jog moves backward.
Battle-Style Layout
Tempo sliders sit horizontally above the deck sections, mirroring the classic turntable-in-battle-position setup. Performance pads and effects levers are placed in the mixer section for quick access while scratching. The larger jog wheels give more surface area for precise scratch movements.
Performance Pads & Effects
Sixteen performance pads (8 per deck) cover Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Tracking, and Sampler in their primary layer, with Beat Jump, Roll, Trans, and Scratch Bank modes accessible via shift. Beat FX are triggered by effects levers with momentary and locked positions. Deck 3 and 4 control is available through Serato DJ software.
Mixer Section
The 2-channel mixer includes a built-in soundcard. Each channel has trim, 3-band EQ, a two-way Sound Color filter (high-pass/low-pass), and a channel fader. A rear-panel 1/4" unbalanced microphone input handles MC duties without additional gear.
