About RTS

RTS Intercom Systems builds party line and matrix intercom for broadcast, live production, theatre and houses of worship. The company works out of Burnsville, Minnesota, where the Telex headset and earset lines are also made, and spent decades inside Bosch Communications Systems before moving with the rest of that business into the Keenfinity Group. RTS keypanels sit in most North American broadcast trucks and control rooms, and the two-wire beltpacks and headsets are the ones stage managers and camera operators have worn for years. In Canada RTS comes through SFM, so stock listed here ships from their Montreal warehouse within a couple of business days.

Intercom Headsets and Earsets

The PH-88 is the lightweight single-sided headset most crews start with, a moleskin-covered dynamic earphone and a noise-cancelling boom mic on a 6ft cable, offered with A4F, A4M and A5M connectors plus the 9ft PH-88-IC3 for the IC-W6 window intercom. The PH-1 adds a foam-filled cushion and a ball-joint boom. The HR-1 and HR-2 are the medium-weight single and dual-sided headsets with 21dB of passive noise reduction, the HRF-1 and HRF-2 add a flip-up-to-mute boom, and the LH-300 and LH-302 are the super lightweight broadcast headsets. C-8 and C-9 ear cushions and the WS-2 windscreen are listed alongside them. For IFB there are the Telethin RTY-04 and RTV-04 drivers, the ET-2 and ET-4 eartubes, BT-1 tips and BT-2, BT-3 and BT-4 earcones, the CMT cords and the CES-1 and CES-2 complete earsets. The HS-6A is the push-to-talk handset.

Beltpacks, User Stations and Main Stations

The BP-4000 and BP-5000 are the one and two-channel two-wire beltpacks that auto-sense electret or dynamic headsets, and the BP-6000 configures itself for RTS, Audiocom or Clear-Com party line systems. The DBP is the four-channel IP digital beltpack, and the DSPK4 digital speaker station comes as the DSPK4-D desktop, DSPK4-W wall mount and DSPK4-F flush mount, all with Bluetooth and PoE. The OMS OMNEO Main Station is the 1RU digital party line hub in Analog, Analog Plus, Intermediate and Advanced licences, each with a choice of A4F, A4M or A5F headset connector. The PS-2001L two-channel power supply, the PSU-KP-DSPK 24V adapter and the RMK-S rack kit round out the wired side.

Keypanels and Matrix Interfaces

The KP-4016 is the 1RU sixteen-key KP-Series keypanel with DSP and the KP-5032 is the 2RU thirty-two-key version, both OMNEO networked with colour displays and A5F headset connectors. The MCP90 gooseneck electret microphones in flushmount, 8in and 18in lengths fit the keypanels, the OMS and the IC-W6. The RVON-I/O is the eight-port VoIP interface for linking matrix frames and keypanels over Ethernet.

Wireless: NOMAD, UHF and IFB

NOMAD is the current DECT wireless intercom. The TR-1000 beltpack carries sixteen keypanel assignments, roams between AP-1000 access points and is IP65 rated, and the CB-1000 four-bay charger tops up beltpacks with headsets still attached. The TR-800 is the two-channel UHF beltpack for BTR-800 base stations, with the BP-700 alkaline holder, the BP-800NM NiMH pack and the AB-2 antenna bracket as accessories. For talent cueing the TT-16 sixteen-channel IFB transmitter pairs with the TR-16 pocket receiver.
