Description
The Warm Audio Dirty Boy Jr Overdrive is an all-analog overdrive, preamp, and amp-simulator pedal built around the original Dirty Boy Preamp circuit. It uses proprietary T.A.E. (Tube Amp Emulation) technology to deliver touch-sensitive response, tube-like harmonic saturation, and dynamic cleanup at any volume.
The Gain control adjusts drive intensity from transparent boost to saturated vintage-style breakup. The Tone knob shapes the top end, while the Variac control simulates power-section voltage sag and compression, producing everything from tight, clean response to loose, spongy "starved" textures. A speaker-emulated output, voiced after a closed-back 4x12 Greenback cabinet, sends a balanced line-level signal directly to mixers, interfaces, front-of-house systems, and FRFR speakers. The standard 1/4" output connects to a guitar amp as a traditional overdrive. The pedal can function as a standalone amp simulator, an FX-loop preamp, or a tube-style boost in front of a dirty amp.
