Description
The AC30 Hand-Wired is a 30-watt all-tube combo with hand-wired circuitry and a custom-wound output transformer, based on an original 1963 copper panel AC30. Four EL84 power tubes and a GZ34 rectifier drive two 12-inch Celestion speakers in a 12 mm birch ply cabinet.
The Normal channel has a Bright switch, and the Top Boost channel has its own Treble, Bass and Volume. A tube-driven spring reverb with Level and Tone, a FET-buffered effects loop and a master volume complete the panel, and the loop and master volume can be bypassed. This version uses two Celestion Alnico Blue speakers, the speakers that helped make the AC30 famous, with bright highs and smooth overdrive.
