The Vater Zero Pad is a soft style practice pad in the Chop Builder range. Its plush surface, 3/4" thick, has very little rebound compared with a gum rubber pad, so you have to focus on and strengthen your own sticking technique.
The pad is single sided, 11" in diameter and quiet to play. A thin layer of soft rubber covers the back of the wood base to stop it slipping, and the pad fits in a snare stand.
