Description
The Roland DJ-505 is a two-channel, four-deck Serato DJ Pro controller with an integrated TR-S drum machine and 16-step sequencer. It features dedicated hardware controls for sequencing classic Roland drum sounds, a standalone mixer mode, balanced XLR outputs, and Serato DVS upgrade readiness for turntable integration.
TR-S Drum Machine & Standalone Mixer
The DJ-505 embeds a fully-editable TR-S drum machine section directly into the controller surface. Drum kits from the TR-808, TR-909, TR-606, and TR-707 are recreated using Roland's ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology, each with 8 instruments: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Closed Hat, Open Hat, Tom, Rim, Clap, and Ride. Dedicated faders let you shape sounds in real time with Level, Attack, Decay, and Tune controls. The 16-step sequencer adds Nudge, Step-roll, and Instrument/Sample Mute features for live performance improvisation.
Eight pad controls per deck support Hot Cue, Roll, Slicer, TR, Pattern, and Sampler modes. The mixer section works standalone without a computer, accepting turntables or CDJs via the phono/line inputs. Balanced XLR master outputs connect directly to professional PA systems, and a separate booth output with independent volume lets you monitor independently. The included Serato Tool Kit voucher unlocks Pitch 'n Time DJ, Serato Flip, and all Serato DJ FX packs.
