Description
The PreSonus StudioLive AR16c is an 18-channel hybrid analog mixer and USB-C audio interface that combines classic analog mixing with modern digital recording. Its built-in 18x4 USB audio interface operates at up to 24-bit/96 kHz, making it simple to record studio productions and mix live shows from a single console. Twelve XMAX mic preamps provide the gain needed to capture subtle details without added noise.
Mixing
The StudioLive AR16c provides twelve balanced microphone inputs with XMAX preamps, two insert points, and a musical 3-band analog EQ on each channel. A mic/line boost accommodates low-level vintage synths and broadcast microphones. Digital effects deliver rich reverbs and lush delays. The 60 mm faders provide precise level control across all channels.
Recording and Interface
The StudioLive AR16c audio interface records each of the 16 inputs plus the main mix for flexible recording options. Play back up to four streams for monitoring previously recorded tracks plus a click. A built-in 2x2 SD recorder captures the main mix to SD or SDHC cards up to 32 GB. The USB-C connection is compatible with nearly any computer.
Connectivity
The unique Super Channel handles four stereo sources at once including Bluetooth wireless, 1/8" stereo input, USB playback from your computer, and SD card playback. This makes integrating consumer devices and rehearsal playback simple. The analog mixer front-end makes connecting gear intuitive, and creating monitor mixes is quick and easy.
