Description
The PLX-CRSS12 is a professional direct-drive turntable that supports both analog vinyl playback and tone-arm-free DVS control. In Digital Vinyl mode, the MAGVEL CLAMP holds the record directly against the platter, controlling the digital music file without a needle, eliminating skipping during scratching. In Analog mode, the tone arm plays records conventionally. The analog components match the PLX-1000, including the high-mass die-cast zinc chassis with 8mm resin reinforcement.
MAGVEL CLAMP and DVS
A dial on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP adjusts the record's resistance for different scratch styles. The turntable connects via USB-C to a PC/Mac running rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro, paired with a DVS-compatible mixer. Four MIDI-mappable Performance Pads below the platter provide access to Hot Cues and samples, with a button to switch between pads 1-4 and 5-8.
Motor and Platter
The 3-phase brushless DC motor uses servo-type direct drive with selectable torque (High, Mid, Low) and adjustable stopping speed (Min, Mid, Max). The aluminum die-cast platter is 332mm in diameter.
Display
A built-in OLED display shows tempo range, key, BPM, and deck number when connected to DJ software. Utility settings are also accessible from the display.
