Description
The Dynaudio Acoustics MS15 is a passive subwoofer for small and medium film and television post-production studios, including immersive rooms set up for Dolby Atmos Home Entertainment 7.1.4 and 9.1.4. A single 15-inch (380 mm) fiber-loaded cone in a ported cabinet reaches down to 30 Hz and produces up to 128 dB at 1 meter.
Placement
The MS15 usually sits on the floor between the left and right speakers, and building it into a baffle wall adds low-frequency output. The enclosure can also be configured for other installs, such as ceiling mounting for low-frequency support in an Atmos array or a low-profile build for tight spaces. Besides full M-series systems, it can extend the bass of the M1 and M2 monitors.
Amplification
The MS15 has no built-in amplifier and takes 500 to 3,000 W. Dynaudio recommends its DCA800 or DA40.
