Description
The DOD BiFET Boost 410 is a boost pedal based on the 1970s DOD 410 circuit. It has enough output to push an amp into overdrive for solos, with a slight grit that suits an amp that is already breaking up. Volume sets the amount of boost, and the Tone control tilts the sound toward bass or treble.
A Buffer switch decides how the pedal behaves in bypass. With the buffer on, it stays active even when the boost is off, which helps long cable runs and large pedalboards. With the buffer off, the pedal is true bypass, so it can sit first in the chain ahead of a fuzz. You can use it as a buffered boost, an unbuffered boost, a stand-alone buffer or an always-on tone shaper.
