About Neural DSP

Neural DSP is a Finnish company that rewrote the rules for guitar amp modeling. Founded in 2016, they built their reputation on plugin software that captured the nuances of high-gain amps with unprecedented accuracy. Their algorithms model the entire signal chain, preamp, power amp, speaker, mic placement, down to the component level. The Quad Cortex brought that same processing power into a floor unit that fits in a gig bag. It's become the reference standard for players who need studio-quality tone on stage without hauling a half stack.

Quad Cortex

The Quad Cortex is Neural DSP's flagship floor processor. It runs four independent DSP cores, each handling amp models, effects, and impulse responses simultaneously. The Neural Capture technology lets you profile your own amps and pedals in minutes. The touchscreen interface makes building signal chains fast, drag, drop, route. You get over 3,000 presets from the Neural DSP community, plus MIDI control and USB audio for direct recording. The mini version delivers the same processing in a smaller enclosure. Both units handle complex rigs that would require a pedalboard and a rack in the analog world.

Nano Cortex

The Nano Cortex shrinks Neural DSP's capture technology into a compact pedal format. It stores up to 256 Neural Captures, your amps, your pedals, your exact signal chain. The pedal includes a built-in noise gate, transpose function, and seven onboard effects. You can run it in front of an amp, into a power amp, or straight to FOH. It's designed for players who want Neural DSP's modeling accuracy but don't need the full Quad Cortex feature set. The form factor fits on any pedalboard without taking over the entire bottom row.
