About Heritage Guitars

Heritage Guitars builds electric guitars at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the plant where Gibson made its guitars until 1984. A group of the old Gibson craftsmen stayed in the building and started Heritage there in 1985. Every guitar is still made in that factory, finished in nitrocellulose, with pickups wound in-house. In Canada Heritage comes through SFM, so the guitars listed here ship from their Montreal warehouse, and models not in stock are ordered in from Kalamazoo.

Standard II Collection

The Standard II is the current production line. The H-150 has a carved maple top on a weight-relieved mahogany body, a '60s C neck, and Heritage Custom Shop 225 Standard humbuckers with series/parallel switching on push-pull tone pots. The H-150 P90 swaps in 225 Standard P90s. The H-535 semi-hollow and H-530 hollow body use laminated curly maple with solid curly maple rims, the H-535 with the same humbuckers and switching, the H-530 with P90s and a trapeze tailpiece. The H-575 archtop has a carved curly maple top and back with 225 Standard Archtop humbuckers. Each comes in a Heritage premium hardshell case.

Standard Collection

We also list the earlier Standard H-150 and H-150 P-90, along with the H-530 v2 and H-535 v2. These use Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers, Seymour Duncan Vintage P90s or Lollar P-90s and a Standard C neck. The Eagle Classic is the Standard line archtop: a Sitka spruce top over curly maple, an ebony fretboard, a 25.5 inch scale and Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers in gold.

Custom Core Collection

Custom Core guitars come from the Heritage Custom Shop with curly maple tops, ultra-light genuine mahogany backs, a '50s C neck, a vintage gloss nitro finish, and a certificate of authenticity in a custom shop case. The H-150 comes as a figured top, a Plain Top, or a P90 version, all with 225 Classic pickups. The H-137 is the slab mahogany single-cut with a pair of 225 Classic P90s. The H-157 adds a bound ebony fretboard, multi-ply binding, gold hardware and 225 Hot Classic humbuckers, with a choice of mahogany or curly maple top. The H-535 semi-hollow and H-530 hollow body use laminated curly maple, the H-535 with 225 Classic humbuckers and the H-530 with 225 Classic Dogear P90s. The H-555 is the dressed-up semi-hollow with a bound ebony board, kite headstock inlay and 225 Hot Classic humbuckers. The H-575 is the carved solid curly maple archtop with 225 Classic Archtop humbuckers and a rosewood adjustable bridge.

Artisan Aged

Most Custom Core models are also offered Artisan Aged, where the Custom Shop hand-wears the nitro finish and hardware to the look and feel of a well-played vintage guitar. They are listed as separate products beside the gloss versions.

Cases

Heritage hardshell cases are wood cases wrapped in black Tolex with a plush fitted interior and an accessory compartment, in sizes for the H-150 and H-137, the H-535, and the H-575.
