About Coliseum

Coliseum is Yorkville Sound's installation series: speakers, a mixer amplifier and the hardware to put sound into shops, restaurants, offices, schools and houses of worship. Yorkville has built pro audio gear in Ontario since 1963, and the series covers standard 8Ω systems as well as 70V distributed systems, where one amplifier drives many speakers on a single line.

Ceiling and Wall Speakers

For background music and paging, the CM5/70 and C165W mount in the ceiling, with 70V taps to balance the level from room to room. The C120 and C170 are compact surface-mount speakers that ship with a U-bracket, in black or white. The C170P adds a built-in 100 W amplifier for a room with no amp rack.

Outdoor Speakers and Large Rooms

The C08CW and C12CW are IP56 weatherproof coaxial speakers for patios and sports fields, and the C180 horn handles paging in yards and loading docks. For larger rooms, the Canadian-made C15W pairs a 15" woofer with a rotatable horn and flies on its own or in pairs with the FH2W kit.

Amplifiers and 70V Accessories

The CA1 mixer amplifier puts 180 W into a 4Ω load or up to four 70V zones, with paging priority and phantom power for condenser microphones. The LT-70V transformer lets a standard power amplifier run a 70V speaker line.
