HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 column PA system

HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2: A 15-Inch Column PA Built for DJs (2026)

The HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 is $2,299 CAD. It is the largest system in HK's POLAR MK2 column PA series, made for DJs, bands and entertainers who need more bass than a smaller column gives them. The mixer is built in, so one system makes a complete PA that sets up quickly.

A 15-inch woofer for the dance floor

HK designed the POLAR 15 MK2 for DJ sets that keep the bass going for the whole night. Its 15-inch woofer sits in the largest plywood cabinet in the series. HK also recommends it for bands with a drummer, acoustic sets with a cajon and entertainers who need a powerful system.

The whole system weighs 38.1 kg (88.4 lb), and HK built the subwoofer to be carried. Its MultiGrip handles let you grip it from several positions, and recessed grips on the top and bottom help with lifting and loading. An optional POLAR 15 MK2 Wheel Board lets you roll the system instead, and a padded subwoofer cover comes in the box.

The column

Vocals and instruments come from the column, and its horn spreads the sound wide so the whole audience is covered. HK builds the column from aluminum profiles that keep resonance and distortion down. For a seated audience you can leave the spacer out and the column still lines up. A redesigned connector slides in and out of the subwoofer more easily and holds the column firmly without wobbling. Both column pieces travel in a padded carry bag, which is also included.

M20 FlexMount: lighting without extra stands

HK's new M20 FlexMount is a thread built into the subwoofer. It holds a spacer bar carrying compact lighting or other show gear directly on the PA, so those pieces need no stand of their own. You carry fewer stands, the stage looks tidier and setup and teardown go faster.

Mixer, Bluetooth and DSP

The built-in mixer has four channels, so most gigs need no outboard mixer. Two channels take mics or line sources such as keyboards, and you can switch on phantom power for condenser mics. The third takes a guitar. The fourth takes DJ gear or a music player and also controls Bluetooth audio.

A USB-C port on the control panel keeps a phone, a tablet or a wireless mic receiver charged during the gig, with no extra charger or outlet. Bluetooth streams music from your phone, and True Wireless Stereo pairs two POLAR MK2 systems so one stream plays in stereo.

Music, Voice and DJ presets set the basic sound, and you can save your own EQ settings for venues you play again. A delay setting, entered as the distance to the main PA, lets the POLAR 15 MK2 work as a delay line for a bigger PA.

POLAR 15 MK2, 12 MK2 or 10 MK2

All three have a 4-channel mixer, Bluetooth with TWS pairing and DSP with EQ. Here is where they differ.

Feature POLAR 15 MK2 POLAR 12 MK2 POLAR 10 MK2
Price in black $2,299 CAD $1,699 CAD $1,449 CAD
Woofer 15-inch 12-inch 10-inch
Finishes Black Black or white Black or white

The POLAR 15 MK2 costs $600 more than the POLAR 12 MK2, and for that you get the 15-inch woofer and the larger cabinet. Get it if you DJ for dance floors or play with a drummer and want the bass to come from the column system itself. If your gigs don't need that extra low end, the 12 MK2 or the POLAR 10 MK2 ($1,449 CAD) will cost you less, and both come in white.

You can add to the system later. Two POLAR 15 MK2 systems paired over TWS give you stereo with more output and wider coverage. HK lists the PORTABLE SUB 115 A and 118 A as matching subwoofers, and you can add one or two when a dance floor needs more bass.

Our guide to the POLAR MK2 line also covers the smaller POLAR 8 MK2.
