Description
The HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 in black is the largest system in the POLAR MK2 series, an active column PA built for DJs, performers and events that call for strong bass. A 15-inch woofer in a larger plywood subwoofer cabinet, 2,000 W peak Class D biamped amplification and a 4-channel mixer with phantom power, Bluetooth 5.0 and True Wireless Stereo make a single system a complete PA. The new M20 FlexMount holds lighting and show accessories directly on the subwoofer.
Bass and Cabinet
The subwoofer pairs a 15-inch high-performance woofer with a large, torsion-resistant plywood enclosure that keeps resonance down and the bass tight through long DJ sets. MultiGrip handles and recessed grips on the top and bottom make it easier to lift and load, and a padded protective cover comes in the box. One or two PORTABLE SUB 115 A or 118 A subwoofers add more low end for the dance floor.
Column and M20 FlexMount
Six 3-inch neodymium midrange drivers and a 1-inch tweeter on a Constant Directivity horn sit in a low-resonance aluminum column with 120-degree horizontal coverage. A redesigned connector seats the column firmly in the subwoofer, and the column elements travel in a padded carry bag. The M20 thread in the subwoofer takes spacer bars for compact lighting and other show accessories, so the stage needs fewer extra stands.
