Denon DJ just launched the PRIME 4 G2, a four-deck standalone DJ system with MPCe multi-zone pads, onboard Stem Separation, and Engine Lighting with a physical DMX port. It is now at Blackout Audio with Canadian pricing at $3,499 CAD.
The G2 keeps the laptop-free Engine DJ workflow of the PRIME 4+ and adds expressive pad control, 8-inch jog wheels with stem status displays, and ESS Sabre 32-bit conversion. If you already mix on Engine DJ, this is the new flagship in that lineup.

Why the PRIME 4 G2 Matters
The original PRIME 4+ made Engine DJ a serious standalone alternative to rekordbox all-in-ones, and it already had onboard Stems. The G2 is the performance update: MPCe pads that combine FX, hot cues, and lighting in one gesture, plus dedicated Stem controls the 4+ page does not list.
At $3,499 CAD it sits $400 above the PRIME 4+ ($3,099) and well under the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ at $4,899. You pay for MPCe pads, 8-inch jogs with stem status displays, ESS Sabre conversion, and a built-in isolated DMX port.
MPCe Pads and Stem Separation
PRIME 4 G2 is the first DJ product with MPCe multi-zone pads. There are 16 velocity and pressure-sensitive pads with 3D-sensing. You can alter FX, fire hot cues with multiple roll values, hit Engine Lighting controls, or switch performance elements in the new multi-FX pad mode, all from a single pad.
The PRIME 4+ already ships standalone Stems. What the G2 listing adds is dedicated Instant Acapella and Instrumental buttons, a four-part Stems pad mode with FX, and Stem Level EQ. Two internal Main FX modules bring 25+ effects with toggle paddles and Favorite FX buttons. You also get 10 Touch FX with latch, fader-triggered Fader FX, and four Sweep FX knobs on the mixer channels.

Streaming, I/O, and Lighting
Built-in dual-band Wi-Fi streams Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud Go+, and TIDAL. Spotify is listed as coming soon. A Bluetooth Deck lets you mix audio from tablets and smartphones. Bluetooth is v5.4 with audio input and keyboard support.
Storage covers two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot, and an internal hard drive bay. Outputs are balanced XLR for Main, Booth, and Zone. The Zone output has its own Cue button and can send an individual deck or playlist to a second PA. Inputs include two stereo Line/Phono pairs and two microphone inputs with 3-band EQ, Echo and Reverb, Talkover, and Anti-Feedback. Mic 2 also takes an instrument or line source.
