Description
The Warm Audio WA-84 OC Stereo Pair includes two matched WA-84 small-diaphragm condenser microphones in nickel finish, each shipped with both cardioid and omnidirectional capsules. The threaded capsule design lets you swap patterns in seconds. Each mic features a fully discrete Class A circuit with a CineMag USA transformer, Fairchild FET, and audiophile-grade capacitors. A -10 dB pad on each mic handles louder sources. The dual-capsule set provides maximum flexibility for drum overheads, stereo acoustic guitar, piano, orchestral, and room recording.
Including both capsule types in the box lets engineers choose cardioid for focused stereo recording with off-axis rejection, or switch to omnidirectional for a more natural, spacious capture with extended low-frequency response. The threaded capsule interface means swapping takes only a few seconds, so both polar patterns can be tested during a session without changing microphones. The matched pair maintains consistent imaging across both channels in either pattern.
