Description

The Warm Audio WA-84 Stereo Pair includes two matched WA-84 small-diaphragm condenser microphones in nickel finish. Each mic features a fully discrete Class A circuit with a CineMag USA transformer, Fairchild FET, and polystyrene and WIMA capacitors for the smooth top end and full low-to-mid response of classic pencil condensers. The cardioid capsules are threaded and replaceable. A -10 dB pad on each mic handles louder sources. Ideal for drum overheads, stereo acoustic guitar, piano, and orchestral recording.

The matched pair is tested for consistent frequency response and sensitivity between the two microphones, ensuring a coherent stereo image when used as a spaced pair, XY, or ORTF configuration. Each WA-84 retains the CineMag USA transformer output and the characteristic 8-10 kHz dip that prevents harsh cymbal tones on drum overheads while preserving detail and air on acoustic sources.
