Description
The Warm Audio ODD Box V1 is a hard-clipping, op-amp-based overdrive pedal that recreates the sound of a cranked tube amplifier. Built with through-hole construction using a TLO82CP op-amp and 2N7000 transistors, the ODD delivers everything from edge-of-breakup boost tones to high-gain saturation with touch-sensitive dynamics that preserve pick detail even at full drive.
The UK/US voicing switch changes the clipping character to match two classic amplifier personalities. The UK setting distorts earlier, bumps the upper midrange, and increases output for a cranked British combo sound with chimey attack and Marshall-like bark. The US setting retains more clean headroom, letting the ODD act as a boost at first before breaking into warmer, tweed-style breakup. Both voicings respond well to guitar volume cleanup. The pedal accepts 9V to 18V power; higher voltage increases headroom and tightens the response before clipping begins.
