Description
The Waldorf Iridium Desktop MK2 is the second-generation 16-voice Iridium desktop synthesizer. It keeps the Quantum/Iridium multi-engine design and adds a stronger CPU board with more RAM and flash, room for larger sample libraries, and Flavour control for micro-variations in timing, timbre, pitch, and related parameters.
Engines and sequencing
Oscillators cover wavetable, classic waveforms, granular sampling, resonator, Kernel, and Seeds. Two digital stereo filters, six LFOs, six envelopes, and a 40-slot modulation matrix feed a five-slot master effect rack plus master compressor. An arpeggiator and step sequencer (up to 128 steps) with parameter locks support patterned writing.
Library and mounting
About 6 GB of internal storage (roughly 2 GB factory samples) and thousands of patch slots back factory and user content. Presets move via USB and SD; Nave, Quantum, and Iridium imports are supported. VESA 75 mounting and optional 19" rack parts match the desktop family.
