Description
The Waldorf Blofeld Desktop is a digital synthesizer module with virtual-analog and wavetable oscillators in a full-metal chassis (Black). It is built for MIDI control from a DAW or keyboard, with up to 25 voices and 16-part multimode so you can layer and split factory or user sounds without a large panel footprint.
Sound engine
Each voice uses three oscillators that cover Waldorf Q-style VA models and Microwave II/XT/XTk wavetables, with FM between oscillators. Two independent multimode filters per voice (with filter FM), dual drive stages, three LFOs, and four envelopes give the classic Waldorf path from warm pads to hard PPG-style digital edges. A programmable arpeggiator and onboard effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, overdrive, delay, reverb, and related algorithms) finish the patch.
Studio use
Seven stainless endless dials and a graphic display keep editing usable on a desk. Stereo and headphone outs, MIDI In, and class-compliant USB MIDI cover typical studio hookups. More than 1,000 factory sounds and 128 multimode slots ship ready for sequencing.
