Description
The Universal Audio Apollo e2m is a stereo headphone amplifier and line interface for Dante audio networks, powered over Ethernet. It puts local monitoring anywhere on the network, with parallel 1/4" and 1/8" headphone outputs for headphones or IEMs, stereo line outputs for powered monitors or wedges, and stereo line inputs that send keyboards, synths, amp emulators or playback devices onto the network.
Personal Monitoring with Apollo x16D
With an Apollo x16D, the Mirror to Cue option in UAD Console sends a headphone mix to the x16D's Dante outputs, and Dante Controller routes it to the Apollo e2m. It works the same way with any other Dante device, such as a digital console or audio interface. One knob sets the level of the line outputs and both headphone outputs together, and the line and headphone outputs have their own mute switches.
Placement and Power
A 5/8" thread on the bottom fits any mic stand or clamp, so the unit can sit next to the performer. It draws power from a PoE (802.3af) network switch over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable, and an LED bar shows PoE status and output level.
