Description
The Universal Audio Sphere DLX is a dual-capsule large-diaphragm modeling condenser microphone system with Sphere Mic Collection and Sphere Mic Collection 180 software. It models 38 classic ribbon, condenser, and dynamic microphones, supports mono or stereo operation from a single mic, and lets you change mic type, polar pattern, proximity, and IsoSphere settings during or after tracking. Modeling requires two mic preamp channels; single-output condenser use needs one preamp.
Modeling and Stereo Capture
Dual gold-sputtered diaphragms and dual outputs capture a three-dimensional soundfield for accurate mic modeling, off-axis correction, and single-mic stereo techniques on acoustic guitar, overheads, and ensembles. Switchable pads help handle high SPL sources. Apollo users can monitor modeled mics with near-zero latency.
