Description
The Tascam US-2x2HR is a 2-in/2-out high-resolution USB audio and MIDI interface from the US-HR series, supporting up to 24-bit/192 kHz recording and playback. Two Ultra-HDDA mic preamps with an EIN of -128 dBu provide transparent, low-noise capture through combo XLR/TRS inputs with switchable +48V phantom power and instrument (Hi-Z) support. A USB-C connection delivers bus-powered operation, making the interface ready to record wherever you are.
Recording and Monitoring
Zero-latency direct monitoring splits the signal before it reaches the computer, ensuring performers hear themselves in real time with no delay. Two balanced 1/4" TRS line outputs and a front-panel headphone output handle monitoring, with a large Monitor knob for quick level adjustments. The Monitor Balance control blends live input with computer playback.
Streaming and Podcasting
A built-in loopback function returns computer audio to the streaming software, switchable between stereo and mono. Native support for OBS Studio makes the US-2x2HR an immediate fit for podcasters and live streamers.
Bundled Software
Included software covers the full production workflow: Steinberg Cubase LE and Cubasis LE 3 for DAW recording, IK Multimedia SampleTank 4 SE with a 30 GB sound library, and a 3-month subscription to Antares Auto-Tune Unlimited.
