Description
The Tascam TA-1VP is a 1U rackmount vocal processor co-developed with Antares Audio Technologies, combining a microphone preamp, Auto-Tune Evo pitch correction, microphone modeling, tube modeling, compression, de-essing, and EQ in a single channel strip. Whether you need subtle, transparent intonation correction or the full-strength Auto-Tune effect for pop and hip-hop vocals, the TA-1VP delivers studio-grade vocal processing for live performance, houses of worship, and studio recording.
Signal Processing Chain
The front-panel XLR mic input feeds a quality preamp with +48V phantom power. The signal then passes through Antares Microphone Modeler (with a library of classic mic emulations), Tube Modeler, De-Esser, variable-knee Compressor with gate, Auto-Tune Evo pitch correction (with selectable scales and correction speed), and a digital 3-band EQ. Each processing block has dedicated controls and metering on the front panel. A Double Track output simulates doubled vocals for thickening effects.
Control and Connectivity
All settings can be stored and recalled via front-panel presets or MIDI program changes. RS-232C and Ethernet connections enable remote control from third-party systems. A footswitch input provides hands-free bypass or preset recall during live performance. The included RC-10 remote control offers additional hands-free operation.
