Description
The Tascam MM-4D/IN-E is a compact half-rack Dante converter with 4-channel mic/line input on Euroblock connectors. Part of the Dante Compact Processor Series, it converts 4 analog mic or line signals to Dante for network distribution in installed sound, conferencing, broadcast, and house-of-worship applications.
4-Channel Mic/Line to Dante Conversion
The MM-4D/IN-E converts 4 mic/line input signals to 4 Dante output channels. It also supports 4-channel Dante input/output, allowing Dante sources to be mixed or routed through the unit's built-in DSP before returning to the network.
Mic Preamps with Phantom Power
Four Tascam mic preamps provide +48V phantom power with remote gain control via TASCAM DCP CONNECT, Dante, or third-party controllers. Input range spans -70 dBu to +26 dBu with an equivalent input noise of -125 dBu and a signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB.
Built-In DSP and 8-In/4-Out Matrix Mixer
The onboard matrix mixer combines up to 8 sources (4 analog + 4 Dante inputs) across 4 output zones. DSP includes compressor, 4-band parametric EQ, and auto level control on inputs. A ducking function and ambient noise compensator automatically adjust levels based on environmental sound. Up to 50 scene presets can be stored.
PoE and Flexible Installation
PoE (Class 0) support enables single-cable power and data. Included brackets allow surface mounting under desks or on walls. Two units share a single 1U rack space via the optional AK-RS1 shelf. Euroblock models include GPI control terminals for external switches and LED indicators.
