Description
The Tascam MM-2D-E is a compact half-rack Dante converter with 2-channel mic/line input and 2-channel line output on Euroblock connectors. Part of the Dante Compact Processor Series, it converts analog mic or line signals to Dante and Dante audio back to analog, making it an ideal network audio endpoint for conference rooms, houses of worship, retail spaces, and installed sound systems.
2-Channel Mic/Line I/O with 4-Channel Dante
The MM-2D-E converts 2 mic/line inputs to 2 Dante outputs, or 2 Dante inputs to 2 line outputs. It also supports 4-channel Dante I/O, allowing additional Dante sources to pass through for mixing or routing within the unit.
Mic Preamps with Phantom Power
Two Tascam studio-quality mic preamps provide +48V phantom power with remote gain control via TASCAM DCP CONNECT, Dante, or third-party controllers. Input range spans -74 dBu to +26 dBu with an equivalent input noise of -125 dBu and a signal-to-noise ratio over 105 dB.
Built-In DSP and 6-In/4-Out Matrix Mixer
The onboard matrix mixer combines up to 6 sources (2 analog + 4 Dante inputs) across 4 output zones. DSP includes compressor, 4-band parametric EQ, auto level control on inputs, plus 10-band EQ, HPF, LPF, delay, and limiter on outputs. A ducking function and ambient noise compensator are included. Up to 50 scene presets can be stored.
PoE and Flexible Installation
PoE (Class 0) support enables single-cable power and data. Included brackets allow surface mounting under desks or on walls. Two units share a single 1U rack space via the optional AK-RS1 shelf. Euroblock models include GPI control terminals for external switches and LED indicators.
