Description
The Tascam ML-4D/OUT-X is a compact half-rack Dante-to-analog line output converter with XLR connectors. Part of the Dante Compact Processor Series, it converts Dante network audio into 4 channels of balanced analog line output for powered speakers, amplifiers, and other analog equipment in live and installed sound systems.
4-Channel Dante to Analog Conversion
The ML-4D/OUT-X converts 4 Dante input channels to 4 balanced analog line outputs on XLR connectors. It also provides 4 Dante output channels, allowing processed audio to be routed back into the Dante network via the built-in DSP matrix mixer.
Built-In DSP and Matrix Mixer
The onboard 4-in/4-out matrix mixer lets users mix Dante input sources and route them to individual output zones. DSP processing includes 10-band EQ, high-pass filter, low-pass filter, delay, and limiter. A ducking function and ambient noise compensator automatically adjust input levels based on environmental sound. Up to 50 scene presets can be saved.
PoE and Flexible Installation
The ML-4D/OUT-X supports PoE (Class 0) for single-cable power and data. Included installation brackets allow surface mounting under desks or on walls. Two units fit in a single 1U rack space using the optional AK-RS1 shelf. Dante daisy chaining connects two units without a network switch.
Remote Control and Network Features
TASCAM DCP CONNECT (full system configuration) and TASCAM EZ CONNECT (simplified end-user controls) are available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. The unit supports Dante Domain Manager and AES67 mode for broad network interoperability.
