Tascam ML-32D 32-Channel Analog/Dante Converter

The Tascam ML-32D is a professional 1U rackmount converter that bridges 32 channels of balanced analog audio with a Dante network. It doubles the channel count of the ML-16D in the same form factor, providing high-density analog-to-Dante conversion for large-scale installations, broadcast facilities, and live production.

32-Channel Bidirectional Conversion

The ML-32D provides 32 analog line inputs and 32 analog line outputs via eight D-Sub 25-pin connectors (four input, four output). This allows simultaneous send and return of audio between analog equipment and a Dante network. D-Sub connections work with microphone preamplifiers, console mixers, audio interfaces, amplifiers, and Euroblock devices.

Dante Redundancy

Primary and secondary Dante ports (RJ-45, 1000BASE-T) support redundant networking. If the primary network path fails, the ML-32D automatically switches to the secondary route with no audio interruption or noise artifacts.

Signal Monitoring and Reference Levels

Front-panel signal/overload indicators monitor all analog input and output channels. The signal LED activates at -60 dBFS. Five selectable reference levels (+24, +22, +20, +18, and +15 dBu maximum) accommodate broadcasting, PA, and recording environments via rear-panel DIP switches.

Breakout Box Compatibility

D-Sub outputs connect directly to optional Tascam breakout boxes: the BO-32DE for Euroblock termination or the BO-16DX/IN and BO-16DX/OUT for XLR connections. Pin assignments conform to AES59-2012.

Network Compatibility

The ML-32D supports AES67 for interoperability with AES67 and Ravenna systems. SMPTE ST 2110-30 is supported with Dante firmware V1.2.0 and Dante Domain Manager v1.1 or later. Firmware is updatable via the Dante port.
