Description
The Tascam MH-8 is a 1U rackmount headphone amplifier with eight independent stereo outputs, each delivering 250 mW per side into 32 ohms. It provides two shared stereo inputs (Input 1 on XLR and 1/4" TRS, Input 2 on XLR and RCA) plus individual stereo direct inputs for each of the eight channels. Each headphone output can select Input 1, Input 2, its direct input, or any combination of the three.
Routing and Expansion
- Per-channel source select: Three toggle switches per output choose Input 1, Input 2, and/or Direct, with mixing between sources
- Foldback outputs: Four balanced 1/4" TRS outputs for daisy-chaining additional MH-8 units
- Mono switch: Per-channel mono summing for single-ear monitoring
- Metering: Signal and overload LEDs on every channel
- Ground lift switch: Global ground lift to eliminate hum
