Description
The Tascam LM-8ST is a 1U rackmount line mixer with eight stereo input channels and two stereo output buses. Designed for installation, studio submixing, and live keyboard rigs, it accepts up to eight stereo line sources on balanced 1/4" TRS inputs with switchable +4 dBu / -10 dBV sensitivity. A front-panel XLR microphone input with trim control handles announcements or vocals without an external preamp.
Routing and Monitoring
- Output buses: ST1 and ST2/AUX on balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, each with individual level control
- Per-channel routing: Each channel can be assigned pre-fader or post-fader to the ST2/AUX bus
- Cascade: Balanced 1/4" TRS bus output and input for linking multiple LM-8ST units
- Headphone outputs: 1/4" and 3.5mm stereo jacks on the front panel
- Ground lift switch: Eliminates hum from ground loops across all channels
