Description
The Tascam DR-70D is a 4-channel audio field recorder designed for filmmakers and videographers, featuring four XLR/TRS combo inputs with phantom power, dual built-in omnidirectional microphones, and tripod mounts on both the top and bottom of the unit. It mounts above or below a DSLR, on a follow-focus cage, or on a tripod for versatile on-set positioning.
Professional Inputs
Four XLR/TRS combo inputs with individually switchable +48V phantom power accept condenser microphones, shotgun mics, and line-level sources. A stereo 3.5mm mic input with plug-in power provides additional connectivity for wireless receivers and lavalier microphones. The HDDA preamps deliver clean, low-noise amplification for all six inputs.
Camera Integration
A dedicated camera output sends a mic-level signal to your camera's audio input, creating a reference track for easier sync in post-production. All essential controls are accessible via dedicated hardware knobs and switches, eliminating the need to dig through menus during a shoot.
Recording
The DR-70D records up to 4 tracks simultaneously in BWF format for NLE compatibility. SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards up to 128 GB are supported, providing extended recording times on location.
