Description
The Tascam DR-07XP is a 2-channel portable handheld recorder featuring 32-bit float recording and adjustable cardioid condenser microphones. Building on the DR-07X with the addition of 32-bit float technology and USB-C connectivity, the DR-07XP eliminates the need to set input levels, delivering distortion-free recordings for music, podcasts, interviews, field recording, and audio-for-video applications.
32-Bit Float Recording
Dual A/D converters enable 32-bit float recording at up to 96 kHz, capturing audio with massive dynamic range. Recordings that clip or are too quiet can be corrected in post without quality loss, removing the worry of setting gain levels in fast-paced recording situations.
Adjustable Stereo Microphones
The built-in unidirectional (cardioid) condenser microphones can be positioned in X-Y (closed) for tight, phase-coherent stereo, or A-B (open) for wide spatial imaging. They handle up to 125 dB SPL, suitable for loud concerts and quiet dialogue alike.
External Input and Output
A 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input accepts mic-level or line-level signals with selectable plug-in power for lavalier microphones. The 3.5mm output functions as both a line output for camera feeds and a headphone output for monitoring. A built-in mono speaker provides quick playback checks.
USB-C Audio Interface
Connect via USB-C to use the DR-07XP as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface or USB microphone with Mac, Windows, and iOS devices. The unit also functions as a USB card reader for file transfers.
