Description
The Tascam BO-16DX/OUT is a passive 1U rackmount breakout box that converts 16 channels of D-Sub 25-pin audio to XLR output connections. Designed as a companion to the Tascam ML-16D and ML-32D Dante converters, it provides a clean interface between D-Sub-equipped devices and XLR-connected amplifiers, powered speakers, and other output destinations.
16-Channel D-Sub to XLR Conversion
Sixteen XLR-3-32 output connectors on the front panel are internally wired to two D-Sub 25-pin input connectors on the rear panel. Pin assignments comply with AES59-2012 for compatibility with Tascam ML-series converters and other professional equipment using the same standard.
Flexible Rack Mounting
The BO-16DX/OUT can be mounted in two 180-degree orientations to simplify cable runs and avoid D-Sub cable stress. Rack ears are reversible, so either the XLR or D-Sub side can face forward. Ears are removable for tabletop use. The compact depth of 51.5 mm (2.0 in) allows mounting in the rear of a rack case or use as a patch bay.
