The Tascam BD-MP1MKII is a professional-grade 1U rackmount Blu-ray player with DVD, CD, SD card, and USB flash memory playback. Supporting a wide range of disc and file formats, the BD-MP1MKII is designed for commercial installations, educational facilities, theaters, entertainment venues, and houses of worship where reliable, multi-format media playback is essential.
Media and Format Support
The BD-MP1MKII plays Blu-ray (BD25, BD50, BD-ROM, BD-R, BD-RE), DVD (DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW), and CD (CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW) discs. SD cards up to 512 GB (SD/SDHC/SDXC) and USB flash drives up to 2 TB provide additional playback of video (MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, and more), audio (WAV, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, APE), and image files (JPEG, GIF, PNG). Dual USB ports on the front and rear panels allow fixed or interchangeable media access.
Audio and Video Outputs
An HDMI output supports video up to 1080p with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD audio passthrough for connection to AV amplifiers and displays. Professional-grade balanced XLR stereo outputs and RCA unbalanced stereo outputs cover both pro and consumer audio routing. An RCA 7.1-channel surround output and coaxial S/PDIF digital output provide additional connectivity options.
Installation Features
Power-on Play automatically starts disc playback when the unit powers up. A Hide Menu function displays a black screen during startup instead of the factory menu. Panel lock, IR lock, and tray lock prevent accidental operation. Ethernet and RS-232C ports enable integration with external control systems for remote operation in commercial AV environments.
