Description
The Ambassador Custom is a 50-watt 2x10 tube combo built by hand in the USA. It has a lot of clean headroom and only breaks up at high volume, which suits players who cover funk, R&B, soul and rock, and players who build their sound with pedals.
The preamp uses three 12AX7 tubes and a 3-band EQ, followed by Supro's paraphase inverter and a master volume. The output stage switches between 35 watts Class A and 50 watts Class AB with EHX 5881/6L6WGC tubes. Class A gives the cathode-biased Supro sound with a bold midrange. Class AB gives a scooped midrange, tighter bass and a faster attack. This one is covered in Black Scandia tolex with gold accents.
