Description
The SM7B is a large-diaphragm cardioid dynamic microphone that has become the worldwide standard for broadcast, podcasting, and studio vocal recording. Descended from the original SM7 (1973) and made famous on Michael Jackson's Thriller, the SM7B delivers a smooth, flat frequency response ideal for both music and speech with superior electromagnetic shielding against hum from computer monitors and studio equipment.
Sound and Controls
A flat, wide-range frequency response captures vocals with natural clarity and warmth. Two switchable response filters allow tone shaping without external processing: a bass rolloff for tighter low-end and a mid-range emphasis (presence boost) for added vocal clarity and articulation.
Isolation and Shielding
