Description
The BETA 52A is a high-output dynamic microphone purpose-built for kick drums, bass cabinets, and other low-frequency instruments. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides tight directional control, while the neodymium magnet delivers high output and a shaped frequency response that emphasizes the fundamental punch and beater attack of kick drums without requiring external EQ.
Low-Frequency Performance
- Shaped low-end response: Tuned for kick drum punch with a pronounced presence peak at the beater attack frequency
- Neodymium magnet: High output level reduces the need for additional preamp gain
- Supercardioid pattern: Maximum rejection of stage bleed from adjacent drums and amplifiers
- Built-in stand adapter with locking nut: Enables secure, repeatable positioning inside a kick drum port or in front of a bass cabinet
- Hardened steel mesh grille: Withstands close placement and accidental impacts
